Anne Felmingham

FT Chronic Pain Partner & Specialist CRPS and Fibromyalgia Personal Injury Lawyer

Anne has been a qualified solicitor for over 19 years and working in the field of personal injury for 21 years.

Within a few years of qualifying in a large city firm, Anne worked on her first chronic pain case involving fibromyalgia. She then spent many years gaining her experience in a range of chronic pain claims arising from road traffic accidents, employers’ liability (accidents at work), occupational disease and clinical negligence.

Anne has expertise in such a wide range of injuries and specialisms, she has spent most of her career leading, supervising, and managing personal injury departments.

About Anne

Given her expertise in chronic pain, including predominantly CRPS compensation claims and Fibromyalgia compensation claims, she and Paul, who unusually also had the same passion and knowledge, decided to set up FT Chronic Pain Solicitors. Anne is acutely aware of a general lack of expertise within the industry involving such claims, which is widely accepted within the profession, and feels the lack of knowledge around chronic pain claims sees many people under compensated. Anne has taken over many cases from other solicitors who have simply not understood chronic pain conditions or else lacked the expertise involved to secure great results for their clients. Anne’s experience therefore is unusual and allows her to provide excellent client service and fantastic results.

Anne has recently settled a CRPS claim for a client who she had acted for over a number of years who transferred to her. The defence team were reluctant to provide any offers to settle the claim and Anne fought hard to ensure her client was properly compensated. She employed an expert barrister in the field of chronic pain to work alongside her and instructed some of the best experts in CRPS medicine as expert witnesses in the case. The claim was tried over five days in the High Court on the issue of causation and was successfully pursued in her client’s favour.

Anne is currently working with clients in several multi-million-pound CRPS cases and her knowledge and passion to deliver excellent results, knows no bounds. Anne is a litigator at heart and always willing to do whatever is needed to get her clients the best outcome possible. Anne is not only an excellent practical lawyer and formidable negotiator, she is also an excellent procedural lawyer and spends time at the University of Law as a Visiting Lecturer helping to bring on the next generation of lawyers.

Aside from work, Anne is a mother of two children. She and her partner along with the children love to travel, fitting this around their busy work and home lives. Anne has recently taken up bodyboarding and can be found catching waves most weekends or else she will be planning her next adventure and reading about places to go and things to see.  As well as looking after her children, Anne is mother to a selection of fur babies, who are regular members of the FT team.

Anne loves to chat and has a friendly and approachable demeanour and strikes up excellent rapport with her clients. Anne’s zest for life and passion for helping people is fuelled by knowing about the fragility of life and how it can change on a dime.

Anne and Paul would love to find out about your specific circumstances, and to see what can be done to assist you. Please feel free to give them a call - it might be the call that changes your life.
